Stellantis is promoting two executives in North America — the latest of a series of executive changes in the market, according to a Tuesday press release.
Former SVP of Ram Brand Operations Bob Broderdorf is the new head of Jeep North America, effective immediately. In the role, he oversees strategy, sales and marketing for the brand in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
Broderdorf previously served as head of Dodge sales operations, a position he held starting in 2021, the release stated.
Meanwhile, former Jeep head Bill Peffer will assume the leadership role for North America network development. Starting Oct. 1, he will be tasked with improving the automaker’s dealer network to boost sales across its brands.
Peffer replaces longtime Stellantis executive Phil Langley, who is retiring after serving in the role since August 2019. Langley will stay on until the end of the year to aid in the transition, the release continued.
Stellantis North America COO Carlos Zarlenga said the moves aim to optimize operations in the market.
“Bob’s diverse experiences in field sales, brand management, marketing strategy and product development will be critical as the Jeep brand launches its electrified portfolio over the next several years,” he said in the release. “And with his exceptional combination of retail automotive experience and leadership roles at both domestic and import OEMs, Bill will help us raise the bar as we work together with our dealer network to write the next chapter in our transformation.”
The latest appointments add to Stellantis’s growing list of leadership changes amid sales challenges in North America. Zarlenga started in his role in February, and since then, the company has named new CEOs for Jeep, Dodge and Ram, and a new marketing lead.
