UAW-represented employees at Ford and Stellantis ratified the automakers’ deals with the union. Over 69% of Ford and 70% of Stellantis workers voted “yes.” The UAW says 64% of voting members across General Motors, Ford and Stellantis approved the landmark labor agreements.

UAW-represented autoworkers at Ford and Stellantis appear headed to finalize their votes after General Motors autoworkers narrowly approved their agreement yesterday.
The still tentative agreements with Ford and Stellantis, subject to ratification, increase base wages 25% over the four-and-a-half-year contract, reduce the time it takes to earn top wages from eight to three years, reinstate cost-of-living adjustments and add the right to strike over plant closures.
Autoworkers at the top of the pay scale would earn more than $40 per hour by the end of the contracts, a total wage increase of over 30%.
Ford, Stellantis and the UAW did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The UAW will likely attempt to organize nonunion automakers in the U.S., such as Tesla and Toyota, after it ratifies labor agreements with all the Detroit Three automakers.
