His appointment continues a wave of C-suite changes at Stellantis in recent months, including the resignation of CEO Carlos Tavares, as the company seeks to improve its operations and end its sales slump.
Broderdorf most recently served as SVP and head of Jeep for North America, and succeeds Antonio Filosa, who was appointed as Jeep CEO in November 2023. Filosa will continue as America’s regions COO for Stellantis, overseeing the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram brands. He will also have the added duty of supervising quality for Stellantis’ global operations.
Stellantis is turning to Broderdor to return the Jeep, Ram and Dodge brands to profitability, the company said. He brings more than 25 years experience and a proven track record of driving growth through strong dealer relationships and effective marketing strategies.
“Since November 2024 alone, Bob has grown Jeep brand market share by 16% and reduced inventory by over 30% in the U.S.,” Filosa said in a statement. “The growth plan Bob established for North America has set a strong foundation to launch into 2025.”
In addition to new leadership at Jeep, Stellantis made other recent changes throughout its global operations in order to speed decision making in product development and planning and other commercial activities.
Other executive and organizational changes include:
- Ned Curic, presently the chief engineering and technology officer, will oversee product development and technology for Stellantis’ global operations.
- Clara Ingen-Housz, currently the automaker’s global corporate affairs and communications officer, will lead a consolidated communications operation.
- Olivier François, most recently brand CEO for Fiat, Abarth, DS Automobiles and global chief marketing officer, will lead a newly created global marketing office. François will also continue overseeing Fiat.
- Alain Favey was named CEO of Peugeot. He most recently was CEO of Europcar Mobility Group.
- Xavier Peugeot was named CEO of DS Automobiles, succeeding François. Peugeot most recently was director of Stellantis’ commercial vehicles business unit.
- Anne Abboud will lead the Stellantis Pro One vehicle division after overseeing the segment’s sales since March 2023.
